Chips: 7,134 | | | What I'm learning about NL cash games. Okay, I'm playing on my free PP money. I've never really played NL cash games before. Well, I have, but back when I didn't know **** about poker. Here's what I'm learning:
- My great strategy of trying to "dupe" people into preflop all-ins is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever come up with.
- Playing AK like it's AA is maybe not a very good idea.
- Top pair is like, not that good.
- An overpair is like, not that good.
- Two pair is like, not that good.
I'll add more as I go! |

I would run my free hundred up to 500 in like two days and then be back to 150 in two more days at $25 buy in tables. As I started really learning the game I realized that I had a better chance of making money consistently at the limit tables. But you cant beat that rush that you get when you make some great plays or see some nut hands in NL and stack a couple players in half an hour.keep the hilarious (but valid) lessons coming yeltzen.... |

I'd recommend the 6-max NL tables on Party....Dunno, I prefer short handed though, but especially on Donkey-Party Poker |

Maybe I'm the donk at these tables! | for whatever reason, I dont like shorthanded tables either, probably beacuse, I dont like to see the blinds that often, and Im learning to be VERY,VERY patient..too damn patient as during my best rush ever, I layed down pocket AA to a flop of 3 cards under 10, with a big bet and raise...thought I was toast, layed it down, and the winner had pocket TT....those big raises make your cards look soo much smaller eh? |

you're BB with 26o, everyone limps, you check.
2-6-A rainbow and you lead, next to act calls...everyone else folds...
another rag on the turn, putting two clubs on board. you make a bigger lead, you get raised. you put the guy all-in. he calls and on the river makes a better two pair with his A4o to counterfeit your flopped two pair.
if you flop bottom tow pair and there's an ace or king on board, check-call or fold. if you play a bad two pair aggressively, the guy with the garbage ace will never let it go. he will cold-call you all the way, then reraise you all-in on the river or some other dope move. |
