Chips: 1,132 | | | Q Q I just got knocked out of the chiptalk tourney in 10th place with pocket QQ.
This is now around the 10th consecutive time in online poker I've been knocked out with that fricking hand. Every time by someone calling with and Ace rag hitting the river Ace.
jojo WTF how do I play this fricking hand anyway? |

jojo WTF how do I play this fricking hand anyway? | If that's the 10th time you've been knocked out with it, here's my opinion on how to play it...

j/k but you played it fine tonight. You got it all in as a 70/30 favorite. Sometimes you run bad. Then sometimes you run worse. It sucks. Perseverance is key. |

jojo WTF how do I play this fricking hand anyway? | who me? recongnize you got sucked out on, and don't let it change how you play that very strong hand. the more you play, the more you amass hands, the more things'll even out with it.
play them very strongly after the flop, unless an A or K flops, then bet sometimes and prepare to fold lots of times.
sounds like you got all in preflop, right? that's all you can do, homie.
stove isn't working right (can't copy from it right now), but QQ v A2-AT is 71%. |

But the odd thing is, and I've written about this for the past month in various threads, but my QQ has been busted in every single tourny I've played. Remember my post awhile back where it was busted when it was dealt to me in 3 of 4 consecutive hands on 3 SGN tables.
But as for strategy, even with those odds I think the ladies are my cursed hand because I'm batting .000 with them. |

QQ is worth approx 20% of my profits in ring games and 11% of my chips won in tournies. in both games, it wins 80% of the time. if i had gotten unlucky for a week with it and then vowed to stop playing it aggressively, i'd be in big trouble.
it's not unlucky for you, b/c there's no such thing. keep playing it strong. |

was I weak? or was I had? | I'd say good fold. Its folds like this that allow you to find better spots for your chips later -- like when you have the ace vs. QQ. |

In all seriousness, i cant tell you how many times ive had my money in good in the last few months, only to have it not hold up. Its psycologically brutal, and has affected my game. Now Im to the point where I just push bitterly, and expect to lose...'course it could just be the never-folding donks I play with that have me down...."JUST F'N FOLD DAMMIT!!...(just once even?!)" >insert praying smilie here<
