Do you have a set of pocket cards that you play and seem to have luck with winning even though you know it is not a good starting hand?

I sure do... no matter whether they are suited or not I seem to hit the flop when these are my hole cards. Don't get me wrong I don't play stupid everytime I get it, but it seems to come up a lot and I have taken down my share of pots with these two cards in the hole!

The funny thing is, for the guys who know i like to play it, if I raise preflop and a J or 8 or both comes on the board they are a bit weary to bet into me!

Not sure if I'd say lucky (although I win with them a lot, especially on line). More like favorite. I don't play them just because I get them either. The history of Aces & Eights in also one of my favorite old west stories.

I've made 8 straight flushes playing HE. No royals. 7 of the 8 have been with suited. I probably play this hand more than I should because of this weird statistical anomoly.

Because I lose to to or something nearly 3/4 of the time I play AA from the hole.

I'll always limp even out of turn, unless I'm shortstacked and holding out for that one worth going all in on.

Suit them, and I'll raise.

The beauty is that everyone we play with knows these are my favorite "odd" cards to play, and when Jacks and/or 9's (or Q 10) hit the board, I can almost always steal the pot with a decent bet.
