If you play a lot of SNG's, might be worth checking out your opp.s when playing.
Not sure how accurate it is, my Full Tilt stats are off, but I don't know about my 'Stars stats. I started playing online at Stars so I didn't track them like I do my FTP stats.

Chips: 2,456 | | | Re: Shark scope - SNG tracker I wanted to ask about this, I was playing last night in a heads-up match and a guy said to me, "are you new to the game?" I said, "no, why, are you?"
I wondered if he was a beginner or just trying some gamesmanship. He said to me, "well, you've only played 35 SNG's." I was confused and asked where that came from, and he told me sharkscope.com
He told me some figures. Apparently those $3 9-person SNGs I played in 2005, where I was reraised by A8o all-in and I called and lost with pocket queens have lead to me to have some terrible profile as a total fish. I want to say my rating was something like -31, or my investments were -31. I don't know, but I was a bit amused by it.
How are they getting the info? Do they have a bot connected to P* 24hrs a day and it collects all the results on the tourney screens? |

Chips: 840 | | | Re: Shark scope - SNG tracker i use thepokerdb.com regularly. i find it most useful during the early levels of large tournaments that have a boat-load of satellite winners (aka: the sunday million on P*, the sunday second chance on P*, the nightly $150, the $100+R, and the bigger WSOP/WCOOP satellites).
i pull up records for the other 8 people at my table to get a feel for their level of experience / success. of course you can't make 100% judgements about people, since great players can switch poker sites and show up with little or no history. when new players get moved to my table, i look them up as well.
i look at the kinds of games that they've cashed in, how many final tables they've made relative to the number of cashes, and a few other things. if you're in the $200 second chance tournament, and the chipleader to your left normally only plays $10 games, you can potentially make certain strategy adjustments. similarly, if you see a guy who just cashed for $15,000 yesterday playing in the $100 rebuy, you can potentially make some assumptions.
i also find it helpful to pinpoint the big time players (guys with $250,000 + in tournament winnings). i tag them all with notes. these guys are good players, so you can expect more sophisticated plays from them (raising your continuation bet with nothing, for example). they are also more likely to lay down a hand when they're beat, so well-timed bluff has a higher chance of success than against some donk who happened to win the $3 rebuy satellite to take his shot at $160,000 prize.
i have dual 19" flat panels, and when i'm playing in a big money tournament, i am usually not playing in any other games. i keep the pokerdb site up on one monitor (along with the tournament lobby) and the game window on the other.
