NL Final Table Hand

Okay, here's the situation. Down to the last four... I have insanely good reads on all of the players because, well, they were all playing pretty horribly.

Noah22 is playing extremely tight. He makes standard raises occasionally and makes the rare all-in move.

Blackchip is playing some idiotic strategy (Kill Phil?) where he just goes all in whenever he has a little something. That's it. No calling, no standard raises... all in or fold.

empl is playing like a typical donkey. Calling every raise with K high or better. Calling on the flop with any pair, etc.

yeltzen is playing like a true poker champion.

POKERSTARS GAME #5682503500: TOURNAMENT #28741032, $4.00+$0.40 HOLD'EM NO LIMIT - LEVEL XIV (1500/3000) - 2006/07/25 - 21:53:55 (ET)

Table '28741032 13' 9-max Seat #1 is the button

Seat 1: Noah 22 (22767 in chips)
Seat 2: Blackchip13 (103470 in chips)
Seat 4: yeltzen (101376 in chips)
Seat 8: empl (42387 in chips)

Noah 22: posts the ante 150
Blackchip13: posts the ante 150
yeltzen: posts the ante 150
empl: posts the ante 150
Blackchip13: posts small blind 1500
yeltzen: posts big blind 3000

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to yeltzen [Qc Ac]
empl: folds
Noah 22: folds

Blackchip13: raises 100320 to 103320 and is all-in

yeltzen said, "i so should call that"

Should I so call that? Would you so call that?

Re: NL Final Table Hand

Even though there's a chance that you could be a 3 to 1 favourite I'd fold and wait for a better spot. If he's as bad as you say he is then there's no need to play for stacks preflop.

Run forest run.

Stake your tourney on your terms. Not with AcQc.

I agree. Especially with your chip stack. Not worth risking all that work to get there.

Re: NL Final Table Hand

Pays top three? This is the only guy who can knock you out, and it sounds like there is a good chance you can beat him heads up - and Noah is unlikey to be around much longer. Even if you are ahead, this seems like the wrong time to get unlucky, given the relative chip stacks. But, I'm bad a poker, so my logic could be way off.

Re: NL Final Table Hand

If yeltzen is playing like a true poker champion and donkbreath is pushing or folding, yeltzen beats him in the pot.

Re: NL Final Table Hand

i probably call, b/c i'm a gamblor, and b/c if i win it, i steamroll. but i'd hate myself for it when his 33 holds up.

but i don't disagree that it's better to fold. i don't really understand how you broad you think his push range is...but here's one possible one...

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 53.9025 % 50.46% 03.44% { AQs }
Hand 2: 46.0975 % 42.66% 03.44% { 22+, A9s+, KJs+, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, ATo+, KQo }

Re: NL Final Table Hand

Yeah, after all of his all-in antics, I'd soooo like to shove a hand up his a$$. But not this hand, at this point.

It would make one of the small stacks real happy to gain another position by the big stacks playing with their big brass ones. But with all the chips you have, I'd play smart and get to heads up. I'd stay away from him until you've got a better hand.

Re: NL Final Table Hand

Seems like you can beat this kind of player heads up with a bit of patience, so kiss less than 3% of your chips bye bye and fold.

Re: NL Final Table Hand

wow, I'm amazed. What hand does it take for the people saying the'd fold? AKs? Guess what? AKs is only gaining 2% equity over any range we can put him on.

I guess we just let him run over our blind unless we have QQ+?

This is FOUR handed. He's playing like a donkey. We have a chance to take out the most dangerous opponent in the game and we have a REAL hand. He's just as likely to do this with KQo as he is with 22+.

I'm calling this EVERY time based on the read.
