Re: Too aggressive?

Somehow my explantion of the hand got lost. Obviously I busted out of a SnG early (2nd hand) on this.

The question is was I too aggressive post flop.

I put him on two overcards to the board (although in the second hand, I have no real reads). High pocket pair re-raises. I can't put him on a flopped straight, and I'm about dead to a flopped set.

I'm a bit leary of blaming bad results on bad luck and taking credit for good results, but my thinking is that I double up on this hand a lot more often than I go broke.

Re: Too aggressive?

yeah, I think so... who's gonna call you there? The only hands that will that you beat are JJ, TT. 400 on the flop and evaluate when he check-raise pushes.

edit: I think you bust here more than doubling but I think you take that pot down on the flop WAY more often than bust/double combined.

nah...in 10+1's you could called by AK, 88, A8, or 99.

Re: Too aggressive?

I tried to hit a couple two outers today, failed.

I need to play against you, I guess.

Re: Too aggressive?

Flop bet may be a bit too much, but I do not see you getting away from this hand. Especially in a SnG.

Quick edit -

By too much, I mean that with this flop, I am looking to get all of this guys chips in the middle. A 75-80% pot sized bet has a better chance of being called/reraised by a weaker hand (Ak and the like)

Re: Too aggressive?

Even if you were too aggressive, it has no bearing on this hand.
You went all in with the best hand, and got called by a 2-outer. Can't ask for much more than that.
