Re: Easy Fold?

I wouldn't call it easy, but I think you have to fold here. My guess is he flopped two pair and I don't think the pot odds are there to take the risk, especially since you don't have a read on the raiser.

Re: Easy Fold?

easy fold.

with the A and the Q, you gotta figure 2 pair or even trips got you beat.

But, then again...he might be pushing with a small pair on a scary flop...

Re: Easy Fold?

Standard play. Sucks losing 40% of your stack. But it's a fold.

Next time try limping UTG with AA/KK.

I was thinking about it, but the table was pretty passive, so I didn't want to get 6 calls behind me, ya know? This was in the 180 SnG you recommended. I folded, obviously.

Yeah, nothing sucks more than a passive table for AA/KK UTG. Regardless, it's a good tournament, I think. I still suggest you play a couple more. You have to love the amount of donkeys.

I'll definitely play more. I think I'm giving up on limit, and I like playing in a tournament that only lasts 2 - 4 hours but has a nice prize pool. I couldn't get much going early, so I was surprised I lasted as long as I did.

Yep. That's why I like it so much myself. No more than 4 hours, and really good top 2 payouts, and 3rd not so bad either. And so many donkeys!

You can routinely be in the final 40 1 double up away from an above average stack just by playing a solid tight game. I The event I took 2nd, I believe I played 5 hands in the first two hours and I was chip leader.
