Chips: 7,134 | | | Two mo' live hands. Okay, here's two more hands I was in last night. Identical situations against the same player. Would you call both times? Again, I was the tall stack at the table.
Hand #1 - Blinds are 50/100. It's 4-handed. I have about 3,500 chips.
I have QJo UTG. I raise to 400. Button raises all in. Blinds fold. It's about 600 to me. Pot is about 1500.
Hand #2 - Blinds are 100/200. It's 4 handed. I have about 2,500 chips.
I have KQo UTG. I raise to 600. Button raises all in. Blinds fold. It's about 825 to me. Pot is about 2350.
First time playing with the guy on the button. Seemed pretty tight-passive, although he was complaining about not getting cards most of the night. I hadn't really seen him raise a lot before the flop, but every time he did, it was all-in.

Is 3x always your standard raise? Or are you just blind stealing and quite willing to get away from your hand if you meet resistance? If you bet 4x with short stacks at the table, it makes you decisions are much easier if they push. |

3 or 4 times, usually. Sometimes more. |

Yeah the first one I actually had a harder time calling just because... it's friggin' QJ offsuit! But there was really no way I could fold once I counted it up. I miss the little totals from online.
The QJ hand was more of a steal, the KQ was just more of a value raise, I guess. |

Chips: 7,134 | | | Re: Two mo' live hands. In any event, I called both times. The first time he turns over 99 (and I get a beautiful 9-4-4 flop), the second time he turns up TT (and I get a Q on the turn). |

Second one- King high with decent kicker would get my call. After seeing the results I would have been corect, but I would have played it that way. I just have a problem with calling with Queen high, someone going all in I'd put on Medium PP or Ace high or King with decent kicker (these are the hands I'd take a stab with if I was short stacked and looking to double up or just steal blinds)
