Chips: 203 | | | Re: OMGZ Like What Doo I Doo? I would just call, if I'm reading and adding correctly, there is $17 in the pot counting brightly's bet. Raising your bet after the second 2 came would make me think brightly has a 2 in the hole. I would still call being that it's 8.5 to 1 on your money and he could be bluffing. |

Chips: 7,134 | | | Re: OMGZ Like What Doo I Doo? Yinzes is smart. I was just about to fold because the guy had a VP$IP of like 70% or something, so I figured it was possible he had a 2. I ruled out the 3 since a player that loose would typically call with a 3 there. Fishies love to bluff when the board pairs. yeltzen calls.
Showdown:
brightly shows 6s As.
brightly has As 3c 2d 2h 3d: two pair, threes and deuces.
yeltzen shows Td Jh.
yeltzen has Td Jh Jd 3c 3d: two pair, jacks and threes. |

Chips: 2,445 | | | Re: OMGZ Like What Doo I Doo? Do you have a read on brightly? I bet/fold the turn if is he's a loose passive b*stard, even though I hate bet/folding. I check/call the turn and river if he's any other kind of player. Let someone bet an Ace high, J weak kicker, or bluff. Save money if he's got a 2 or better kicker.
Here, as is, I call and regret it.
[EDIT: posted at the same time as results. Seems like brightly's not l/p.]

A 70%vpip player who is extremely passive is more likely to have some crap like 62s and you're way behind whenever they raise in this spot. Against an unknown I call down.
If you call the turn here you have to call the river.

Chips: 101 | | | Re: OMGZ Like What Doo I Doo? I think the call is the right move at the river no matter how loose the guy is. The pot odds say it is the correct thing to do.
You get players that loose at UB? I thought it was a tight site. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
