Typically in my game we play a T3000 and I allow unlimited rebuys for the first hour any time you are at 1000 or below.
I'm playing in a game this Sunday where you get one rebuy and you can use it at any time during the first hour.
What are some thoughts on how to play this? Is the better play to take the rebuy right away and use the big stack. The obvious danger there is that your safety net is gone. Or try to go without a rebuy and see where things stand at the end of the hour?
I would say it would depend on the quality and style of the competition. With a lot of noobs and LAG, the safety net might be more important while a lot skilled, TAG players might respect a big stack when determining what to bet and call with.
Personally, I'm more cautious and would want the safety net in a mixed or unknown group of players.
