I have owned PA Pro 2.0 since the summer, and use it to practice, and to re-group myself after going on tilt...
what i am curious about is how many of you
a) use this software as well
b) to practice or use their hand calculators or any other feature
c) do you utilise the statistics feature...
d) if yes on #c what do you look at to help yourself improve-do you find these stats features helpful/not? which ones are/ are not?
e.g i have noticed in the last week alone in adjusting my NL play, that i overplay less and am very aggressive post flop and i seem to be playing properly out of the right positions and my win rates are going up...this is opposite to when i first started and is better since my recent tweaks...apparently tho i am not too aggressive pre-flop, tho i thought i was...
what should my goals be if i do use these numbers?
I do not use it yet.. but I am tempted (and so will probably get the pro version from the party poker promotion in the next few weeks).
Looks good from what I have seen of the demo version
Matt
i am just hoping to get some feedback to see if i am interpreting the data to my advantage, y'a know not putting too much value in one thing over another, e.g., so i can actually use it to improve my game...
I generally review the hand histories to review hands and see if there are any i would've or should've played differently. I also use the peek feature in game after I've made my decision to fold to see if I made a good laydown. The other stats i'll check are my win percentage on hands to the river. You can also review the cards you play and see if you are winning or losing with them.
The other thing is that there is a great onine community and currently the more you play there you get ranked among the population giving you a good idea of how you are doing. That's about as far as I've gotten into it at the moment. In any case, great software and it will improve your game.
