i'd seen this guy 2 times before. he plays 27% of his hands, and is pretty passive. he becomes slightly more agg later in the hand. i've seen him showdown medium strength hands in the past, but nothing ridiculously weak.
also, this is a $11 on P* |

I 1/2 pot it at the turn and get ready to start over... it's level one... just pretend you didn't just double up If you don't just made him possibly a cheap flush draw but who knows the $11's are just too rich for my blood
Your silver lining is it's him & not igniteAA... that's the kind of luck I have to look for on PS

A, K, J, spade - 1/3 pot
blank - 1/2+ pot

A drops I'm out. Blank drops I'm out if he bets after I check. J drops I'm all in. |

blank - 1/2+ pot | I tend to agree with Fins here. I assume you are folding to a reraise in the A, K or spade scenario? What about after you bet 1/2+ pot on a blank? I assume you're calling his remaining chips... Quote: |

You would check a blank? You instantly push when a J falls on the turn? |

Chips: 18,529 | | | Re: ruh roh with a (small) big pair. may or not be a bad beat. my plan...1/2 pot anything. there're so many ways this board is scary that a bet of 500 is going to be an effective bluff no matter which scarecard comes off. i've 3k in chips early on. the worst that can happen to me is that i'm down to 1500 at the end of the hand, which is where i am at this point in the tourny 90% of the time anyhow. the upside is that i could end the hand at 4500, which essentially ensures me a cash finish and makes a first MUCH more likely.
i guess a bet of 500 takes down the pot better than 1/2 the time on a random turn card.
here comes. ready? TURN t980 (2 players)
6 6 2 A
jojobinks bets t500, Th3Birdman calls t500.
eeks! what's the plan for the river? if we bet, how much? do we call if we check and he pushes? how much do we call if he value bets? which river cards change your plan? |
