How do you beat Poker Dunces?

Yeah, so in the games I play there's one fool I play with that will never fold, never raise. All he does is call, call and call. It's so annoying and the last two nights he's made it into heads-up with me. Last night he hit a set of 10s, Ks, and another time he made Aces. It's ridiculous. Then theworst part, I go all in with A 7 and he calls with 5-7. (Yes, he calls my all-in with a 5-7 and they're not even "sooted")

Then on turn and river, he catches a 5 and 7! Putting me out of the tournament and sending me into the madhouse. I cannot believe this. How do you play against these guys? It's like they have no idea how to play yet they always have some spare luck hanging around them.

This is mainly a vent, but if anyone has played against someone like this, feel free to post.

I like the wood Louisville slugger better than the aluminum for these situations.

Whatever you do, keep his money in the game!
He's an excellent player.

You might want to stop betting him without a made hand. Just a thought.

Yes, when his luck runs out he is a valuable player indeed, but it just makes you so dang mad when he wins and thinks he outplayed everyone.

i don't recommend that you be disappointed when he calls you as a 3-1 underdog.

don't bluff him. value bet with anything. allow a free showdown if you're worried he might be strong.

crappy players like that are disgustingly obvious with their tells, glancing at their chips when they hit a flop, strong means weak etc...but they still can sometimes get lucky like your all in moment

The hard part is playing in a game with 80% dunces. Blind luck happening at some point for everyone and rarely for me since I'm trying to play "correct".

For instance, was in a tourney two weeks ago. 6 players, I was in late position. Call, call to BB pre-flop. I raise about 7x BB with AKs. This was problem #1.

Folds all around to BB which calls, UTG calls. Flop comes 7A2. Check, check to me. I bet 10x BB. Calls all around.

Turn is an A. Check, check to me again. I go all-in, and they each have enough to cover so they both call.

River is a 2. BB goes all-in, UTG calls.

Flip-em kids... I had trip-aces, they each held 72 in the pocket! Each gets a HAMMER FULL HOUSE!

I start laughing and ask why they each stayed in with the worst hand in poker... after they each mentioned they didn't know it was the worst hand BB says," I was BB so I figured I might as well see the flop. You didn't bet much (this after all is a group that routinely bets 10x+ BB)."

UTG says, "Well, they were suited, and yeah, you didn't bet much."

AHHRRRGGGG!
