Chips: 1,035 | | | If I actually thought it was rigged, I wouldn't play there. However, I wouldn't insist that it isn't. Because, I don't know. And, it is quite concievable. The appearance generated by suckouts (like the one illustrated above) warps the perception. | | Sponsored Links | |

Chips: 2,694 | | My cards have been ice cold for alittle over a week also, and when i do get a good hand ive taken bad beat after bad beat its been incredible. Ive never once thought the games were rigged.....figured i just had a black cloud hanging over me and its just a matter of time before i start winning and running hot........then maybe i can suck out on some people with marginal hands that have no buisness being played in the first place
It does suck watching the bankroll continue to drop while i try and ride out the streak. |

There are many professional players that play every day for long sessions that have had bad streaks last a year or more. It happens. If you play well enough, the odds always work themselves out. Play long enough, and you will have a winning streak that lasts at least 9 days. Quote: |
If (even rarer) they DO connect, I get smoked by a superior hand.
| You are playing on the micro-limit level. Some folks play this just to screw around. Premium hands actually lose some value, as the drawing hands will stay in much longer than they should...it is almost impossible to push people off at this level. If you get a few players like this drawing against you, you will suffer some bad beats. Quote: |
I get call, call, call - even raises
| You probably know this, but this is what you want. You will get sucked out from time to time, but over the long run, you will make more money than you lose in these situations. Quote: |
Today, i see a 6 7 off, and lay it down - flop rolls the 6 and turn is a 7 which would have put me on 2 pairs.
| This happens all the time. It does not make 67os profittable and you were correct in not playing it.
Regarding online poker being rigged, consider this...The online site makes it's money from rake. Therefore, it is most profittable for any online site for every player to last as long as they can, passing chips back and forth, all the while the site is scraping their rake. It is bad for them to have a player lose over and over, or worse, lose their bankroll. It's interesting that whenever the issue of a site being rigged is brought up, it is never after someone has a great winning streak, but after a losing one. |

The only way I still have any money is that 1) I don't play enough, 2) my luck in the CT tournaments seem inversely proportional to my luck outside of it. Even still, the money I won in the third tournament was gone a week later.
Even with all that, I have no illusions about my play. I play short handed 1/2, and I play a few too many marginal hands, and a few too many from the blinds (according to my PT stats). Poor play makes a downswing a crash and burn.

Chips: 73 | | | Re: Please stop it with the rigged nonsense. I don't believe it's rigged, however there are some very dramatic hands. In a recent 3 table freeroll it got down to three of us and it was incredible how the flop would come out and everyone had a piece of it. Three hands in a row someone would flop the straight, the next guy would have the nut flush draw and the last guy had two pair or a set. The money kept swapping hands. One hand I(big stack) have A,Q os and flop the nut straight , the next guy(2nd in chips) flops a flush draw, and small stack flops a set. Everyone goes all in and the cards are revealed, I'm winning the hand, the turn comes and makes a flush for #2, the river comes and pairs the board and makes #3 the winner. There's good reason for everyone of us to be in the pot, this happens several times and starts getting ridiculous. Then of course the opposite rings true for most games so I still stick with the not rigged scenario. Sometimes it seems that you can never hit a hand, but this has happened to me in live games as well so you hae to take the good with the bad. You have to use extreme patience and wait for the cards to start coming again, it can get frustrating and you can try and force hands (like the 2,7) and this usually leads to you going on further tilt. It's a game of ebb and flow, you just have to learn to ride the waves right and know when it's time to take a break for a bit.

Two players go all-in and one flips over KK and the other 77. KK has a big advantage, until a 7 falls on the flop. 77 now is way ahead until...K hits the turn. The set of Kings is WAAAY ahead, until....you guessed it, folks....river, 7. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
