Chips: 1,555 | | | Something smells big time of a set. I'd say the short stack has either top pair of a bigger pocket pair and k2snow got his set.
I'd toss the pocket Ten's and save your stack for another opportunity. But hey, I bet you went all-in yourself and won the hand right then and there. Am I right? |

I could see one of them getting in there with either a spade draw, a straight draw, or both. With 2 players involved though, I'd think one of these has to have an overpair or a set. |

Chips: 13,075 | | | Not reading ahead at all, I'm putting in a bet of about $30 here to see if the other guy is serious or not. I'm pretty sure the all-in guy is behind.
Edit: Wow, I just read the other replies and it looks like I'm the only one who still wants to play this hand! Even so, I stick with my initial read and say start firing. I think you're ahead.

Chips: 18,394 | | | The short stack snagged something but I'd still call him. If he's on a draw you've got a decent chance, and it's not much money.
But I'd raise here to test the K2snow guy. Run him out of the hand with his draw, or fold to a re-raise.
But that's just me... |

I think you're ahead. | I'm with you. You could still be ahead here, and the other guy's call is pretty weak (or a trap). Raise here to find out where you stand. I don't see how you can insta-fold this. |

Chips: 53 | | | I'm going to agree withTomb, SpaceMonkey and VARoadstter here. I'd raise it to $50, see where K2 is at. That should tell you where you stand with this hand. You may be behind to KANWAR, but you could concievable pick up a nice side pot if K2 calls on a nut flush draw and the turn comes a blank.
Results?
Edit: Do you always double your buy-in like that at the $1/$2? |

Chips: 13,939 | | | Re: Play this TT hand For those who would have thrown this away - what kind of flop do you have to hand to play TT?
While not a perfect flop - this is a good one for TT. Your preflop raise dicsounts the chance that 67 is out there for a made straight.
Also - this is a shorthanded game. The odds of facing a second PP preflop are slim. I do not play the stars NL ring games often - but in the NL tournamenst, you would surely be reraised preflop by AA, KK or QQ (and many times JJ).
The shortstack all in is not all that scary - he is shortstacked after all. The only strength move he has right now that he can use to get anyone to fold is the all in on the flop. Any bet into him would easily give odds to call his reraise.
You also have position here. This is extremely valuable. A cold call to see what the other player does on the turn is a devcent move (if he has a monster - you will find out). A reraise to see where you stand would also be a good idea.
For me - 50% rasie, 50% call. I also know that this is a vunerable hand - so you have to accept the fact that a scare card on the turn means you have to get out. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
