At least one exciting hand last night

Had a small cash game last night while waiting for everyone to show up, nothing too exciting there. Just a bit of fun.

Somewhere while heads up in the tournament later on though was pretty cool. I was short stack with probably a quarter of the total chips, and it was all-in time. I had Qc 3c, he had Qd 3d. So, we were expecting a split pot of course. One of the guys that had busted out started recording video with his digital camera though... flop comes with two clubs and a diamond. Looking good for me. Turn, a diamond. Now it was a little stressful for each of us But, the river was a club and I won! Heh... I love hands like that.

I ended up taking the chip lead for a while. Then a whole string of bad cards and him with good ones, and lost. Still, a fun time.

He needs to replace the felt on his table, though. When it was made, regular craft felt was put on, I guess the guy that built it didn't realize how it would (not) work. He forgot to pick up something at the store before the game, I guess he'll do that today. I think he's getting some velveteen? Should be better.

Had almost the same thing happen to me the OTHER way around in a tournament.

We both went all in, flipped 'em.

We both had A K.

His were suited, mine were not, and the river brought him the flush.

Another fun hand that happened just this weekend was this one:

I was short stacked, on the BB and staring at

I'm hoping for the check, but instead 3 other players go all-in before my turn to act comes.

Their all-ins would mean that would have for SURE been my last hand if I lost. My 2's seem pretty whimpy now.

I folded my pair of ducks, only to see the flop come:

<-----(this was my EXACT face too!)

And there were 2 other active Ace's in play that just kept betting it up.

I had to take a walk after that one, I could have QUADRUPLED UP had I went in.

I still believe that I made the right decision, but it still hurts when that happens.

I didn't tell anyone what I folded.

lol that sucks man about the 2's... probably the worse thing that has happened to me is folding 5d 6d and flopping a straight flush but folding before the flop to a raise...

however i have tossed 72 in and had 777 on the flop... that stings..

In a SNG this morning, I had something similar happen - 3 people went all in before me, I was short stacked, and this didn't look so hot:

Of course, the flop was

To make it worse, the turn and river was

I could have quadrupled up then, too

Damn, this is close to my dream hand (see sig). Haven't seen it yet but now I know there's hope.
