I agree. What he did was ship $3K with 24o into a made hand. What's more dumb and stupid than that?
I suppose if he was a regular player with a fat bankroll and was a complete fish that showed no historical signs of improvement, maybe for the good of the game long-term you don't call him on it.
That said, if I had the opportunity to pickup $3K at 5/10 NL versus a dead losing hand with zero risk in a casino with strangers, I'd be stupid and dumb not to take it.
I think allowing the "All-In" joke could lead to a future situation where either an angle-shoot becomes possible and causes confusion later in hands with possibly more validity.

Not a scam. The player did something impossibly stupid and got what he deserves.

Not sure about deep-seated unhappiness. Perhaps some temporary unhappiness given how bad I ran in June.
