Not 1 BUT 3 Royals!!!!

Hi Gents,

First post, but there are two regulars on the board that I play a regular home game with.

Just wanted to mention that our group had not seen a royal flush in 11 years. I personally had never seen one.

In a 9 day span, where our group played 3 home games and approximately 600 hands or less, I managed to get:

1 Royal Flush during Hold'em, holding AQ of hearts.
1 Royal Flush during Omaha Hi-LO, holding QJ of heats.
1 Royal Flush during OMaha Hi-LO, holding KQ of diamonds.

The funniest part was on our third night of playing, a regular bet me twenty dollars that I wouldn't be the next person to get a royal flush. Obviously the odds were not in my favor.

That's the evening I got my third, against him, with him doing an all in bet for about 80 bucks. I didn't make him pay me the extra $20.

Was a fun week.

I though I had an ulikely year last year:

I had a royal in january
I had a steel wheel in february
I saw someone else flop a royal at the same game I made my steel wheel.

All hold 'em.

All over a span of about 1000 hands.

Very nice! Hope you won lots of coin because they really don't come around very often.

Had a few straight flushes myself (best was Kh high), and saw my sister river a royal with the black queen that gave her villain quad queens.

Still waiting for mine . . .

Two recent royals in my biweekly NLHE home game: one in December, one last week.

Neither was mine, but that's okay. I'd rather hit one in the local card room and pick up the HH bonus.

Last month at my monthly poker game we had two royals in the same night. One was 4 cards on the board, one was only 3. I think we've had one prior royal in six years of the monthly event.

Personally, I've only had one - online - I think it was in a Chiptalk weekly tournament back before Black Friday.
