Pokerstars $1.2 tournament -- wtf happened on that river!?

I was CO in the hand. Thought I was dead on the turn, but changed my mind when he checked the river. Then, I figured I should bet for value.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

saw flop|saw showdown

UTG+1 (t1420)
MP1 (t1380)
MP2 (t820)
MP3 (t1460)
CO (t1460)
Button (t1300)
SB (t2110)
BB (t1420)
UTG (t2130)

Preflop:
UTG calls t20, 1 fold, MP1 calls t20, 2 folds, CO raises to t130, 1 fold, SB calls t120, 1 fold, UTG calls t110, MP1 calls t110.

Flop: (t540) 2, Q, 8 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, CO bets t400, SB folds, UTG folds, MP1 calls t400.

Turn: (t1340) Q (2 players)

very strange hand, and possibly the worst I have seen somebody play Aces in quite a while. Nothing he done in this hand was credible.

How did our hero play that badly, maybe Im an idiot but I dont see what he did that was so bad.

What I don't get, when you thought you were dead on the turn (for some reason) how would that Jack had helped you?

btw, I would never ever put that guy on a Q.
I would just have bet something like 400 for value on the river, for the case he does have the Queen, he would possible just call and you would still have 500 in chips left.

But according to the topic, all in calls with bottom pair are daily business in these $1 games.

Sorry I completely mis-interpreted the HH, thought Hero had A2o, in which case villain would have played AA very badly.

As it is, I dont think Hero has done anything wrong here.

I meant on the flop -- I think at the $1.2 level, people tend to check/raise or lead with a Q. Don't think most players would check/call with KQ/QJ or QT in this spot.

think the people that check/call 3 streets w/ AQ are pretty rare.
