Whats the point of Intelli Poker?

Now I'm not entirely sure what Intelli Poker does, but I have been told its a german website teaching people how to play. Now I havent seen any Intelli Poker avatars attached to anybody with much poker skill.

Just had a particularly bad session, found an "intelli poker student" with about 180BB when I sat down and was waiting to stack him, as he was calling away his stack with MPBK every other hand and reloading, then this hand happened, I'm not a fan of my line here, but it is still annoying.

PokerStars Game #18399792051: Hold'em No Limit ($0.05/$0.10) - 2008/06/26 - 16:12:43 (ET)
Table 'Fogelin II' 6-max Seat #4 is the button
Seat 1: 250269 ($6.45 in chips)
Seat 2: LiLRoB89 ($17.20 in chips)
Seat 4: Hornebat ($10.05 in chips)
Seat 5: xnekkx ($17.05 in chips)
Seat 6: hand of bear ($12.45 in chips)
xnekkx: posts small blind $0.05
hand of bear: posts big blind $0.10
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Hornebat
250269: calls $0.10
LiLRoB89: folds
Hornebat: raises $0.40 to $0.50
xnekkx: folds
hand of bear: folds
250269: raises $0.40 to $0.90
Hornebat: calls $0.40
*** FLOP ***
250269: bets $1.60
Hornebat: calls $1.60
*** TURN ***
250269: bets $1.60
Hornebat: raises $2.50 to $4.10
250269: calls $2.35 and is all-in
Uncalled bet ($0.15) returned to Hornebat
*** RIVER ***
*** SHOW DOWN ***
250269: shows (a pair of Kings)
Hornebat: shows (a pair of Queens)
250269 collected $12.45 from pot

Nothing worse than when something happens exactly the way you want it to and it back fires.

Seriously, I see these Intellipoker avatars at almost every table I sit down at. What the heck is it?

Good post - I was wondering WTF those guys were...

I also agree - almost every person I have played that had that avatar was miserably bad...they might as well have a fish bowl next to them

Re: Whats the point of Intelli Poker?

Just another post to say 'what a coincidence'. I have been playing a couple of $5 & $10 tournies on P* the last couple of days and managed a decent return (for a change), unlike the Donks I saw with this intelli-poker garbage - I really thought they were taking the pi55 with that logo.

Lol, when I first saw the logo, I thought it was a "political" point against bad play, or irresponsible gaming, but it seems to be encouraging it....not that I'm complaining, its doing wonders for my roll*

*Minus the odd suck out.

Re: Whats the point of Intelli Poker?

the donk in the above hand is just absolutely horrible. He MIN RAISES you with K6 and proceeds to fire the flop and turn? I would've raised/jammed him on the flop myself but still, this is just ridiculous. Was this his mongaloid attempt at a bluff or what? Not sure why this is shocking to me, I've seen similar plays at much higher stakes.

Yeh I hate the way I played the hand, awful passive s**t line, but still it hurt to see K6, why do people love hands like this, I saw him a few hand earlier lose a buy-in calling an all-in pre-flop with J2o, if he limped pre, he wouldnt fold before the flop nomatter what bet he was faced with.

Luckily he was wearing the "intelli poker" badge, the sight of "intellipoker" avatars will forever bring a smile to my face and fatten up the roll*

*Not sure a roll only cut out for micro stakes can be "fat" but you get the point.
