Couple of WTH moments at 1-3 NL

Private game 1-3 NL $200-$500 buy in.

XXXXXXX Hand 1 XXXXXXX
This is from our Thursday session. I've turned over AA at least 6 times by this hand.

I look down and see AA again and I raise from $18 to $50 flat. A super tight player in late position min-raises to $100. The action is back to the original $18 raiser, 2/3rds of the hands he is in are raised by him to $18. He is losing and pushes $350. I go all in and the tight player calls.

I'm fairly certain that the tight-nit has AA also or Kings at worse. The gambler turns over 8 9 o. The nit does AA.

Flop

8 7 J

I thought that he just managed to crack us both, and I gasped. The turn and river are blanks and I and the nit chop up the gamblers money.

XXXXXXXXX Hand 2 XXXXXXXXXXX

This is from last night same game.

I make a loose call for $18 on the button with 4 players in the pot. I have about $600 behind and most of the players are within $100.

The one exception to the stack sizes is "The Vet", not veteran. He has managed to build a stack of over 2K in about 1.5 hours of play.

Flop

Action checks around to me and I bet $65. The vet is the only caller.

The turn is

The vet checks and I cut out my bet. The vet looks up at me says... "Jayson, I'm going to go all-in." I stop and consider what he said. He's talked his way into a lot of checks this way only to get his card and win monster pots. I put $75 in the pot and he insta-pushes. I figure hes got a jack and we're chopping at least. Or hes got a draw and I've got to fade some cards.

the river

My heart sinks and I show my AJ and he MUCKS! ?!?!?

Re: Couple of WTH moments at 1-3 NL

Whenever anyone stares at someone and calls out their name to announce the all in its always because the player is scared to death.

Have I told you how jealous I am that this is your home game?

Didn't even show.

He very easily could have been bluffing.

I made a couple changes. In hand two he pushes on the turn not calls.

and the nit in hand 1 is blonde widow.

Let me know when you are going to be near Cincy. This game is practically a circus. Too bad they don't make folding chairs with seat belts.
