I was planning on being out there at the same time and playing 3-4 events, but after looking at hotel/airfare I'm putting things on hold. I want to stay at the RIO for convenience. Last I check my package was going to run $2600 (staying for a 7-10 days). If I can get it down to $1800-$2000 I will try to go. w16227 was also going to try and be there around then to play in event #51 $1500 HORSE, which I was going to play also.
If it looks like I'm going to go I will get in touch with you so we can hookup.

Soooooo, I ended up booking Imperial Palace/US Air for a little less than the original TI package. A little disappointed but hey, it's just a room (that I won't see much ). | My sister stayed at the IP a few years ago and said it was a decent room. The casino, on the other hand...
There is a free shuttle bus between Harrah's (next door to IP) and the Rio.
IP is now part of Harrah's Entertainment.
Check out Planet Hollywood for cash games, and if you're free on Monday evening, check out Harrah's for a mixed cash game.
Good luck!

Chuck | Thanks Chuck. The package prices for The Rio were definitely up there. I think they wanted like $1200 for the 5 days that I'm going. Definitely let me know if you end up going.

Good luck! | The event that I'm playing in starts Monday (6/30) so "hopefully" I'll be a little busy.
Thanks for the mixed games tip though. Definitely looking forward to at least playing a little O8 whle I'm out there. The other two guys from our league are staying at Harrah's so I'm sure we'll play there a little. Sound like the other two play most of their poker at TI beacuse they offer $2/hr comp rate in the poker room. |

Starting stacks are based on points earned from league tournies. I started with 5th highest chip stack (2600 vs 1900). 4.5 hours later, I'm in!
Looks like it will be event #52 ($1500 NLHE) on Mon 6/30. Anyone else going to be in LV then? | Michigan represen'n! Knock 'em dead, hon. |
