I'm 100% quitting online poker, it's not even remotely worth playing unless I was winning at like 1k NL which I'll never play |

Chips: 482 | | | Re: I lol'd wait no i didn't I had nearly the exact same thing happen in a live $3/5 game a couple weeks ago. Flopped a set of J's and got the money in and lost a $800+ pot to runner runner spades.
Just remember, if this keeps happening, you will make a lot of money. You win a huge hand the 90% of the time you don't walk away from this with a bad beat story.

I think you're trying "move up where they respect your raises" which I don't understand because I have the nuts?
Pointing out that I'm glad I was called here? Really? Didn't know! |

I think we all need to hear this every now and then, especially after a hand like the OP.

After awhile does it really matter that I had the best hand and a mother ^$%@$!^# donkey sucked out on me?
Now I'm not saying that I haven't tried to console myself when I played the best hand prelop, after the flop and then Mr. Wow makes a terrible push and takes my coin.
Yes lost 3 H.U. games 2 nights ago and I still haven't let it go. Oh BTW I'm even worse when I play a hand like a D.A. and just hand my chips to players.
I need to talk to Doctor Phil (Helmuth) about my anger management issues.
jumps off soapbox (bridge). I'm better now, thanks ChipTalk.

Pointing out that I'm glad I was called here? Really? Didn't know! | Yea, he's being sarcastic. Its a play on when people say that they need to move up to higher stakes and play against better players that respect their raises and fold when they should and don't suckout on you. Basically, its all BS. You want to play players like this that make stupid calls when they are behind. Short of flopping a Royal, there's almost always a chance you'll lose a hand by the river regardless of what you've flopped. Get used to it. If all your loses are like this then you are playing correctly which may be of small consolation.
As for the hand, you found a guy that was married to his top pair and cared about nothing else (level 1 thinking). Follow this guy around, he's worth his weight in gold. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
