It's poker weekend! (Pics heavy!)

I'm so excited, me and my missus are hosting a poker night again this weekend for our good friends who are all crazy about poker. I just had to take some pics while I sorted out the chips. Today she prepared already the table in the living room, I sorted out the drinks, music, WSOP finals from 70's till now running non stop on TV and of course got out the CHIPS!

There's going to be 10 of us, so perfect evening for poker, drinking and laughing!

We're going to have a T10,000 Holdem Tournament first. I'll use the Nexgens for that. Here's the buy-ins (16-16-6-5), re-buy stacks and color-up stacks.

Yeah, I know they are only Nexgens, but they work fine for a tourney and I can't really afford to get my Mardi Gras clay tourney set yet...

After the tourney, the Cash Games starts, .25/.50 dealers choice NL Omaha or Holdem. So the new chipcase comes out!

And it's full of Paulsons!!

I love my Pharaoh's!

How can you not love them??

Can't wait till Saturday afternoon and play till early hours of Sunday again!

Cheers,
northernlight

Gotta love Pharoahs.

Just curious... where did you get that case (and how many chips does it hold)? I see 300 in the pic, but am curious if there's another tray underneath... for another 300 (or maybe 200 + cards, etc).

I got it from a German online shop, www.gamblerstore.de .

Yes, it's a 500+ case. There is space for 200 chips and two decks underneath the top tray which holds 300 chips. Really nice for the price, just about 60e!

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I'm also very excited to try out first time my new Copag pokerpeek cards!!!

They should be really useful in Omaha at least, where peeking isn't that easy in a crowded table.

Wow, I didn't know Copag was doing PokerPeek too! USPC must've done a poor job of protecting their intellectual property. That, or after the "flop" at the 2007 WSOP, they decided there wasn't a big enough market and sold the rights to Copag...

Sounds like a great time just waiting to happen. It has been a while since I hosted a game too. Love the pics.

Re: It's poker weekend! (Pics heavy!)

Thanks guys!

It was really good fun! Player poker from Sat 5pm till Sun 5am! First a tourney and then pot limit Omaha and Holdem cash games.

Everyone had loads of fun, got lots of compliment for the arrangements. Actually, planning and arranging everything before the game night was half the fun!

We were all drinking a lot, so there were lots of spilling drinks and glasses, but that's normal with us. We're all a bit of drinkers... It's normal, that table cloth and chips needs to be washed after each event

Just wondering is that a copag cut card next to your poker peek cards?

Yes it is. Ordered two of them together with the cards, one poker size and one bridge size.

We played the tourney wit the poker peeks, but soon after in the cash game we swapped the deck to a normal set of Copag's with Jumbo index.

The idea in the poker peek is nice, but to be honest I think everyone prefered normal Copags, two or four color...
