Note to self - fold to any bet on river unless holding Royal flush in spades.

And runner-runner-runner quads, too. That's just nasty!

Re: Quad 10's in 7Stud

Strange, I was going to post my quad nines in Stud7 today, as I hit it 1, 2, 3, & 4. Never seen it in a row like that.

Re: Quad 10's in 7Stud

yikes....I lost with quad jacks to quad queens in a cash game for huge money one night and didn't play poker for 5 years after that...all mine were in the hole too. I was so looking froward to him saying full boat queens over, and me showing the 3 jacks in my hand. He was like "what the hell were you betting with? " when I turned over the 3 jacks in my hand he almost died. "I'm so glad I caught that case queen or I would have been the one looking for oxygen.

Is this thread in "General Topics" because stud is no longer considered Poker?

I had the same quad 9's live at Mandalay 6 or 7 years ago, but it was all 4 of my board cards. Won the hand and got a $40 high hand bonus to boot. Last guy in the hand had trip 3's starting and folded 6th street.

Year before, I lost w/quad 4's to quad 9's, but I took $3000 of the bad beat jackpot as a consolation. Ah, memories.

I got Quad tens like that in a home game a few months ago. Only one guy stayed in till the end.
