Re: Dealt quads two hands in a row

I usually don't win much with big hands either, altough last week at our poker league, it ended up being me v my brother at the end, I had him about 4-1 in chips with high blinds, he goes all in with kj, i look at my cards and low and behold pocket aces. I flop one ace and then turn the next, couldn't believe it. Normally though, a small win like your $16 gain, is what I would get. LOL

Dude....that's a bummer. I forget who said it but it goes something like "Pocket aces are only good for winning small pots and losing big ones." Sorry if I misquoted but seemed quite appropriate for this thread. My heart goes out to you....it sucks to not make a ton off a big hand.

Re: Dealt quads two hands in a row

I've had almost the exact thing happen to me online. Pick up a pocket pair, hit a set, then hit Quads on the river, made good money on that hand, someone hit a FH and paid me well. Next hand hit a set on the flop when th eboard flopped pairs and hit quads again on the turn. Made very little, the previous hand scared people a bit and made them wary of the possibilty. This happened about a year or so ago.

Re: Dealt quads two hands in a row

Unreal... I play in B&M 20+ hrs a week, and have for the past 8-9 months. In that time I have had quads 7 times and a SF/RF 3 times... Never have I had two of these big hands in a week, let alone in a row. In fact, only twice have they been in the same month.

Re: Dealt quads two hands in a row

In my short poker career...about 2-3 years, I've hit quads...numerous times. I've hit SF's....not sure now, probably getting close to 20 times..so you're right on par. Only one Royal, that was at a B&M (Viva LV)-Mirage. I've hit K high, Q high, J high (3 times w/ J,8 twice-thus a favorite hand to play), 9 high, 7 high, 6 high..plus the one royal. Made lots of money with SF's...no one thinks of those, as well they shouldn't, chances are slim. I've hit 3 SF's live and the rest online...of course many more hands played online.

Re: Dealt quads two hands in a row

Based on my recent results, I don't feel like I've made anything better than two pair in months.

Really nice!
I floped quad aces once, but that's not close to your story buddy!

Re: Dealt quads two hands in a row

Some of our craziest hands, last game we had a guy flop a boat twice and get beat by quads. He had QJ one hand flop was QJJ. He decided to slow play and the other guy had pocket 66. Turn and river were runner runner 66. about 4 hands later he had pocket 99, flop was 933. He decided not to slow play and went all in. My wife had pocket 33 so she flopped quads. About 2 months ago we had a straight fllush get beat by a highr straight flush. One guy had 67s, flop was 8910s, he checked and the next guy went all in. The first guy calls and shows his straight flush, the bettor has JhQs. Turn was the Js.
