Funny casino people...

I wasn't there, but I heard the story last night from 2 guys that were....

1-3 HE game at Majestic in Indiana...

Hand is just dealt, UTG is the first to act....
apparently, the dude is not experienced at brick and mortar casinos...

so he says "All-in!"...looks around, says psych, and mucks his hand and says, just kidding.....!!!

So, the dealer calls the floor over, they make him put all his chips in (approx $300), and then they rule his hand as dead, since he mucked it....

They said they guy just kept yelling at the floor that he was kidding..c'mon..it was a joke...

Heeeee-larious!!

Re: Funny casino people...

Did they say what hand won the pot? Did the idiot give the winner sh*t and ask for his money?

That would have been a great time to hold AA while someone else had KK (assuming the aces held up).

Re: Funny casino people...

Too funny. I have seen this in a tournament once. Big time motor-mouth is telling us another bad beat story.
When the action comes around he blurts out “So I says, I’m all in dammitt !!”.
He looks around confused as the dealer says "player is all in". and in go his chips with J-4os. Got two callers and lost of course.

Re: Funny casino people...

300 dollar lesson at the poker table. Sounds about the going rate.

When I was playing at the Trop there was a guy who would pick up his cards and say.

"I'm going to raise... my cards up and fold"

I was waiting for him to do it when I had the nuts and just made a big bet into him, then get him bound to a raise by calling him out.

Never had the chance though.

He was a special kind of D-bag. I'd never drop this on average non-prick Joe who just having fun.

Wow. That's crazy! I bet he won't joke about that anymore... Then again, he probably spent days complaining about the casino to his buddies. How they cheated him out of all of his money when he was only joking.

Re: Funny casino people...

Well I have never seen a person say "all In" then try and take it back. However, at the casino I play at there is a line around the middle of the table and the house rules say any chip that passes this line is considered a bet. I have seen more than one guy forced to go all in because he grabbed his hole stack put it accross the line then dropped one chip in the middle to call. This is a very bad limit habbit that players pick up. They grab a stack of 20 chips and then drop 3 in the middle to call. I actually saw one older guy do this twice in one night before he finally got the message. I guess the moral of this thread is big mouths and bad habbits will cost you in poker. Great story though RT, it made me chuckle and thats always a great way to start the day. Sal
