I did, Saturday night. Single table $20 NLHE (8players). Tried to push everyone out on the 1st hand with AK and lost 1/3rd of starting stack to a pair of 7s. I did not see a pair, face card, or Ace for the next 2 hours. Even had a player flashing his hole cards on every hand and couldn't take advantage of the situation.
Host was even kind enough to change decks to see if that would shake things up......it didn't.....
Finally got all my chips in the pot with 2 pair A & Q only to be beat by flush. 1st out
Can't wait for next game....as it has to get better....can't get any worse.
okay....I'm done. |
Yes, I've had this happen to me. However, it's a weakness in my game.
Remember: in every pot that gets dragged without going to a showdown, the winners hole cards were IRRELEVANT.
I refuse to get blinded off (or, equivalently, falling so far behind the average stack) by being card dead any more. Pick your players, pick your spots, and attack without even looking at your cards (if that's what it takes).
I'm not saying this always works, but at least then you've gone down fighting.
