Playing 3/6 limit I was the in big blind and was stacking chips after winning a small pot. I tried to fold my 9,4 off suit out of turn. They pushed my cards back at me. Eight people call the big blind. I check with my monster.
Flop is an 8, with a 6,4 of spades. S.B. bets I like a true Donkey I call with my fours. I even said out loud ‘I caught part of that.’ Six people call the bet.
Turn is a 9 of spades. I now have two pair. S.B bets. I slow down and think for two seconds, but not long enough I put the S.B. on like pocket jacks or may be 8s with a big kicker (wrong by the way). So I like a true Donkey I raise. Table folds to one or two of the button. Re-raise. I look down at the board I put him on a flush. My god I was about to lose a lot of money. S. B. calls. The pot is now so big I have to call.
River is 9 of whatever! I now have 9s over 4s no straight flush on the board I have the nuts. I bet they pay me off. They turn over a, Nuts flush and sixes full of nines. I had only two outs on the river and had caught one.
This is probably the biggest hand I have ever won and I was being a total Donkey.
9,8 and 9,6 also have you beat. Welcome to the wonderful world of playing junk...I'd rather play those hands in NL though. Just ask the folks I play with. Even the LAG player last night said something like, "watch out that 's a Johnson flop". Tell you one thing, people never know what I'm raising with or calling big bets with. But I'm not a complete donk, I play mostly suited connectors (any suited connectors) especially shorthanded. I'll get away from big card flops, tend to hit a lot of straights.
