It has been two weeks since I left vegas, but have decided to share my "suck out story" with the people who will understand the most..... my fellow "chipfienD"s...

Backdrop:
I roll into vegas on friday afternoon with the wifey, we check into the Luxor, settle ourselves in, i smoke one for the nation and we decide to drive around to some of the casinos we have yet to see.....
after seeing some of the casino's we get back to the luxor and wifey wants to take a "power nap" (at 6pm, go figure).....she coerces me to take a nap with her, when i get a phone call from my "PPNC" (Poker Partner N Crime) and he's grilling me for sleeping while I'm in vegas...

So I proceed to yell at the wife and explain to her how awful it was of her to "trick" me into taking a nap with her when i'm in vegas ....so after some "putting her in her place" (lol) i decide to roll down to Mandalay Bay for some poker....

I get there and the 4-8 limit table is stacked with names waiting for a seat, then the floor lady tells the crowd "there is a $200 NL seat open, anybody want it, no wait"....
I rushed it and promptly sat down with $200 (it was a $400 max, blinds were 2-4).....
ok, so now i'm in vegas and ready to play

The REAL STORY BEGINS here:
First few hands i throw away (10 5 , JQ, A4)....then i get AJd in the cutoff spot....i just called coz I hadnt figured out how the table was playing quite yet.....
button fold, sb & bb call (3 players to the flop).....
flop is 10 K 2...sb & bb check, and so do i......(there is only $12 in the pot at this point).....
the turn brings a Q....SB bets $25...BB folds, i raise to $50, SB calls........turn is a 7 and SB checks, i bet $40....
SB calls, i win with a straight.....SB had 10 Q.....

after a few more hands I have moved my chip stack up to about $650......and i'm highly contemplating taking off at this point, coz cards started to run ugly...

then i'm on the button and i get AQ.....
1 guy in mid position had called the BB and it was on me, I raised it to $25 (the standard raise it seemed)....SB raised it to $50, BB folded and so did mid position......
HU action now.....
the flop comes a beautiful.....
AQQ (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!)......
SB bets $50.....I raised it to $100 and SB goes all in for $350.......
only hand that can beat me is AA, but given that i flopped a boat, there was absolutely NO WAY i was folding that hand....so i call....
SB shows KK....(WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!)
well, in a few more cards, its gonna be a not so wooo anymore....
the turn is a 8 and the river bring the sonfabiscuist a K....
yes sir, you heard it right....
so i lose a large chunk of my stack to his idiotic all in....

despite him beating me pre-flop (which he consistently reminded me of after winning the hand), it was a horrible move (IMO) by him to even try and steal the pot from me considering that any A (A9, A2, etc...) or any Q beats him.......

so i was majorly distraught at this point and had to go wash my face...
when i come back from the somber room, i notice there is a menu at my table.....
sho'nuff...the large stack at my table told me he'd buy me dinner coz he'd "never seen a beat like that before"....

so i proceeded to pick the most expensive meal and told him "gracie".....

sat down with the big stack and yapped for a while...
he had been there for 20 hours and was sitting on a 6g stack.....

LoL that was a pretty terrible, terrible play on his part. Just take pride in the fact that nine times 19 times out of 20 that pot'll be yours and only yours. Sorry to hear about the hand
