Play money tournament on Poker Stars

I was bored this morning since WoW servers were down for weekly maintenance, and decided to play some play money tournaments after having terrible luck in regular ring games. 45 person tournament, 300+20 "buyin" (not that the amount matters at all), top 6 pay. At least in later stages the play gets more "normal" and not just "all in".

Of course, I busted out in 7th when I finally got some good cards, and the other guy had one of the few (off the top of my head, at least) hands that could have beaten me at that point. I don't think I would have played it any differently if money were on the line.

Re: Play money tournament on Poker Stars

I guess that is the difference between a real money final table and a play money final table; the number of limpers (and with QQ in the BB?) is pretty amazing. But as long as you had some fun!

Re: Play money tournament on Poker Stars

Yeah, I sure wouldn't have limped in with QQ, being in a blind or not. I guess it worked out for him in the end though. It was a nice distraction for a while, at least.

Re: Play money tournament on Poker Stars

The big blind played the trap very well, trips on the flop, tough to beat.
