I have had a bad beat once.... I think it was the only bad beat I've ever had.
Playing $10/20 N/L at the Belagio in the cutoff seat, I get Pocket K's.
Flop comes KKA, 5 players help in building a 40K pot. (I'm all in at the turn with my remaining 6800 or so. I've put 5 in the middle up to this point with a bet, raise, and reraise) Turn comes a Q, we lose 2 other players, Long story short, I get one caller (mucked his hand) and P/Aces calling my all in at the turn to hunt for the case ace on the river. (which hit)

Wow... I think I think I'd need a drink or 4 after that beat.
i have been present in the cardroom at grand victoria when that happened, almost exactly. needless to say, even the guy who lost the pot was thrilled, because the whole table made 27k on the bad beat jackpot. it was bananas. people just sitting at the table got something like $400 dollars.
