| Re: Little old lady took my stack and had no idea she won.. sheesh I play in a free league as well...a bunch of horrible players, but its all fun for them, and I have fun too, even when taking nasty beats by some crap player with a horrible hand...
In one situation, this drunk guy was calling me down with 8 3 of clubs when I had flopped a set of Kings...Board was K 6 7 with two clubs, I hold KK....He bet, I raised, he called...he checked, I bet huge, he called...river, he checked and i bet in which he called again...He flipped over his cards hesitantly after I showed my set, and he had made a straight on the river...I cringed when I saw the runner runner...Come to find out he didnt even know he caught a straight. To make matters worse, nobody else at the table did either lol....We all stared at the board for a sec, and the dealer pushed the pot to me with several players including the guy I just beat saying "nice hand. I was going for the flush." At this point i debated for a split second to give the guy the massive pot he had really just won, but I didnt....I felt bad for a few seconds, but justified it in my head and carried on.
I dont know, maybe unethical, but if you can't read your own hand, and nobody at the table says anything after ample opportunity, what else do u do as a player?
