Kem Casino vs. Kem Arrows and Paisleys

How come Kem Casino Clubs are more expensive then the other Kems I think they are like quite a bit more on Pokerchips.com, are they better or what?

Maybe because the arrows are in rounders?

other reason may be that (i remember reading) the new KEM arrows are only available in bridge size / regular index. Maybe the poker size are going up in price now that they are not being made. Heck if I had inventory of the poker size arrows - i'd raise the price I have 4 poker size sets... woohoo. I'll never sell them - they are my favorite cards.

but I just ordered another two sets of bridge size/regular index for $21.99x2 + $3 shipping (Salem to Oregon) - thnx mspatton. For this years rafting trip. We'll be using the bridge size during my next rafting trip down the deschutes - now that the other decks are worth something. LOL

I saw KEM arrow poker size / regular index - 1 deck for $31.99 - i might be wrong... but i think that was the price.

maybe other KEM poker size card variations are getting short supply.

Re: Kem Casino vs. Kem Arrows and Paisleys

Because some sucker will pony up the money to buy them regardless of what they cost. And I think the Casino Clubs are not currently in production, so some scammer can make up all sorts of stories to try an increase their value on some eBay sale.

The same seems to go for things like poker sized Arrow back KEMs.

IMO, the Gemaco Casino style 5 star cards are top notch. Simply fantastic. They use them at the Blue Heron Casino north of Toronto. If you're looking for Bridge style casino club plastics, the Gemacos IMO are #1. I also saw them being used at the WSOP circuit event on ESPN.

I have'nt played with Kems since my last trip to Las Vegas (6 months ago) I recently purchased a set of Fournier plastic cards (imported for Congress) I've checked around and I don't see a whole lot of info on them. I like them quite a bit, they glide well, but thay are not slick, they've got a matte finish. they are the bridge size and are smaller than I'd like. I'm going to Vegas again next month so I'll pay a little closer attention to the cards in the poker rooms to decide if I'll get the poker sized Kems. Anyone played with the Fournier's have any idea how they compare to others?

I played with some plastic cards at a rotten home game last week thet were slicker than glass and you could see through them if you held them up to the light. I don't know what kind they were, but the whole deck was about 3/8" thick, was like shuffling tissue paper.

The price difference is a basic Econ 101 issue of supply and demand.

USPC Arrows are in large supply and selling at "normal" retail margins.

Kem Casino's have been out of printing for well over a year and no
indication that they will be back anytime soon, if ever.

The pricing is only a factor of what the marketplace will pay
