While I was on vacation last week I happened across a novelty store. There I saw these plastic playing cards called: Inivisblecards. The manufacturer is Kikkerland. See picture below. These cards come in red or blue.
The cards are essentially see-thru with spots covering the value of the card. See image below (sorry for the poor quality image).
I bought a deck of these and tried them out. They shuffle very well and are very durable. Hard to get used to them since you can see thru them. Anyone else tried these cards in an actual poker game?
my friend has a deck of them. pretty cool, like you said, they shuffle nice. we didn't have any problems with them when we used them. i have seen them at a few walgreens and the novelty store Spensor's in the malls here in florida.
Seems I'm the lone dissenting vote here. The 'cool factor' is there as a novelty, but I found these to be technically inferior to any decent card. For one thing, the deck I bought had irregularly-cut corners, so if the deck got re-registered, the corners were ragged. Also, I had a problem with them sticking together. Wiping and washing didn't help, and talc did nothing for the clearness appeal. Maybe I just got a bad deck.(?)
I've never thrown away a new deck of cards before. This one was the first.
