in it's ad i've got to believe they aren't like bees, which are paper with a plastic coating.
They are way too slipery and way to flexible, way to hard to shuffle - they have alot of static to them and tend to pick up particles if dropped to the floor.
The original KEMs are hard to come by but out of the three styles we use the Copags exclusively in our games now.
The only redeaming aspect of the Royals is the plastic case.

Yep, Royals suck. If you're hosting a big tourney, they might not be a terrible idea as they'll hold up much better than Bee's or Bicycle's, but I wouldn't use them in my regular game. Definitely a case of getting what you pay for with Royals.
They are FAR worse than paper cards. They have them at the Dollar store near me. 2 decks for a buck...and they suuuuuuuuuuck. All sorts of defects and there so thin that 52 cards looks like half a deck. I gave them to my daughter for Go Fish and she doesn't even like them.
