Chips: 36 | | | Any advice for unwarping KEMs? I bought a couple sets of used Arrows off EBay, and they're all slightly warped - to the extent that I can't play with them. They're in great cosmetic shape, just a little too bowed to use. I don't have any experience unwarping them, and I always store my other KEMs that I've bought new with weights on them. Any help would be appreciated - I've experimented with rubber-banding them around a can of tomatoes, with only marginal results. |

Chips: 328 | | | My opinion is this happens when the decks have been improperly stored. It is very important that the cards be place back into the box after you are finished using them. Make sure they are sitting squarely in box.
My experience is that after you have used them for a full evening or so, the warping will disappear. This happened to a friend of mine when one of his decks was left sitting sideways in the box. They were quite warped but the warping did disappear after we had played with them.
Good luck! |

I read on some web-site that this is how KEM's and other plastic cards are supposed to be properly stored. Not sure if it works, but I have done it and have never had warping problems.

Chips: 1,861 | | | I have a warped set (washed with hot water, DUUUUUH me) that I'll be taking out from under the 100+ lbs of books the're currently under soon. I left them under for a week once and it helped a lot, hopefully the two months will fix them completely.

Hope it worked. |

Chips: 111 | | | Just came back from Vegas and one of the things I was told by the poker room manager was how to unwarp Kem's. He said to warm it up a bit first with the palm of your hand and bend it the opposite way to the warp. That is for one card only but I imagine if you warm the whole deck up and then rubber band it around the tomato can again, it might work. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
