Dal Negro with "x ray" index

I've been interested in these cards for a while and finally found them on sale. Check here:

Plastic Playing Cards with FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $25!

It appears that Trident goes exclusively through Amazon now, so if your purchase is $25 or over, you get the free shipping.
If anyone has these cards, your opinion on what I can expect would be appreciated. I am awaiting shipment of the cards but I do expect the usually good Dal Negro quality.

Good quality cards, as expected. But, we couldn't get used to the "X Ray" index.

Dal Negro cards are my favs...but anything with 4 pips seems to create more confusion at our games with full size tables.

Re: Dal Negro with "x ray" index

I love those cards to, but now when I try to order I can't checkout, looks like they don't ship to France anymore (and they didn't answer my messages).
If anyone placing an order could include 2 decks of poker-sized (one of each color) and 4 decks of bridge-sized cards (2 grey / 2 green) and ship them to me I'd be grateful!

Re: Dal Negro with "x ray" index

I got these cards in time for my weekly cash game. I am very pleased. Dal Negro has a reputation for high quality and it shows in these. I like the x-ray index, it's unique but you have to have fairly good eyesight and lighting to see them. My group is an older crowd so the extra pips weren't that important. Even with my less than perfect vision, I was able to read them by lifting the corners albeit with some straining. The other (regular) pips are jumbo index, so no worries. If you can't read the x-rays, you just lift to see the "regular" side. Whether or not you use the additional pips to peek at your hand, the cards themselves are excellent. I got the bridge size which were only available in "gray" and green. I was a little concerned about the color contrast between the two, but I can tell you the "gray" is way closer to black. So there were no problems with the backs being too close in color or tone. I put these right up there with my Gemaco Superflex, which are the best plastic cards I ever used.
These are really worth a try, especially if you can get them at the sale price.
