My NEW favorite cards-Better than the rest!
BETTER THAN THE REST!---Personal Opinion
GEMACO SUPERFLEX PLASTIC PLAYING CARDS
I was wondering if anyone has checked out the new Gemaco Superflex playing cards. I bought some in the Poker size Standard Index a few weeks ago. They come in Red and Blue decks, 2 decks in a plastic case. I've tried all the cards you mentioned, incuding some others not listed, and so far, I'll tell you what....The GEMACO are now my ultimate favorite. I didn't even think Gemaco coud be in the running as far as good poker cards. I have Modianaos, Fournier, Copag, Kem, Del Negro, and others. I was totally surprised when I used the Gemaco Plastic Superflex cards.
They have a nice paper-like texture, shuffle like butter, also on the stiffer side, between a Modiano and Kem. Kems get a little sticky after a few uses, and so do Del Negros, but the Gemaco's are stil holding up after 3 weeks of play. The white is bright, so it looks awesome in low-light conditions, but they aren't glossy, which is also nice. The pip colors are deep red, like security red ink, and the back is super black. I am so surprised that these cards have now become my favorite, even more than the the Modianos, Kems, Copags, Del Negros, Fournier, and others. I just thought that it would be cool to have someone else take a look at the cards as well...and let me know what you think. I've been looking around for the perfect cards, and I just feel like these come the closest. Anyway, thanks for reading, Tamera. aka lovely_nativewoman

Have you tried the Bicycle "Prestige" line of Duraflex plastic cards?
If so, can you compare the Gemaco Superflex vs. the Prestige Duraflex?
The Bicycle "Prestige" are currently on sale at Walgreens ONLINE.

Btw, I'm a fan of the Gemaco 5-Star line of cards, but even I have to admit that the 5-Star are a bit TOO stiff sometimes.
It's noticeable after shuffling them during 4-6 hours of play.

How do these compare to Zero's? Stiffer or less stiff? Thanks!

Are these the same cards used on HSP recently? Those are nice. At least from what I can see on my TV.

bbb_forever,
I have tried the new Bicycle Prestige Duraflex playing cards. One difference between the two are that the Bicycle cards are definitely slippery compared to the Gemaco Superflex. My poker players have a little more difficult time lifting up the Bicycle prestige cards off the table, although I have speed cloth on my table from the YourAutoTrim store. If you constantly have to "wash" the cards, like we do after every deal, depending on the player, you have cards that can easily get away from you. I will check out more details on the different tonight after work. I'm planning putting together a Youtube video showing the differences between the Bicycle Prestige, Modiano Platinum Acete, Modiano non Acetate, Gemaco Superflex, Gemaco 5-star, Kem Arrow Deck, Copag (which is pretty much the same with every card-have the Lonestar and many other kinds of Copag cards), but going with the regular Copag cards, Fournier (EPT, 2800's, Party Poker, Snowflake), and NPT. Still trying to figure out which Fournier cards to show, probably the 2800's or EPT. Fournier is pretty much the same with the different cards....and they do feel great. It's just the pip's rub off sooner than the other cards, from my experience. Anyway, I'll let you know soon, Tamera aka lovely_nativewoman

Hey bbb_forever,
So I went ahead and felt the differences between the two decks. I am also attaching pictures where you can see the differences between the two decks. For the purposes of this comment, I will refer to the Bicycle Prestige as "BP" and the Gemaco Superflex as "GS".
These are the differences I found between the two:
FLEXIBILITY: When lifting up 2 cards to peek at the pips, the BP's lift up with more ease than the GS. The GS have quicker snap when you lift it up and let go of them quickly, which I often do when I am looking at my cards. Both cards snap back in place quite nicely. The GS snap quicker and faster, because it is a little more stiff. COPAG's win in the flexibility department.
COlOR: The BP's have a brighter red than the GS. The brighter red is bright, and the darker red is dark. The ink seem to have excellent quality. See picture
PIPS: The pips are slightly bigger on the GS. See picture
WHITE: The GS have a brighter white.
TEXTURE: The BP's do feel a little like paper, but definitely a slippery kind of paper. The GS's feel a little like paper as well, but they are less slippery than the BP's.
SHINE/GLOSS: The BP's definitely have more of a glossy finish on it, even though they do feel like paper. In medium light conditions, if there is a light shining on them, the BP's shine more, glossier. The GS do not shine as much, and hardly have any shine on them when putting them in the same medium light conditions.
SLIDE FACTOR: My felt is YOURAUTOTRIM speed cloth, USA MADE. Both cards slide the same length at the same speed.
Overall, You can tell that the Gemaco are a little more on the durable expensive side. When you look at the pips and shuffle the decks you can tell the GS feel more stiffer and have a better quality overall. I do like the Prestige, and how they are a little more flexibe, but my players have a hard time picking those cards up, because they are slicker. Plus, when you have a big table and people take turns to shuffle, my friends do not like the glare from the BP's. I only used the BP's once at my game, and halfway through the game my players got sick of them, and when some guys have been drinking, those cards can get away from them. The GS's are my players favorite cards so far. If Copag could make a deck with better pips, and a whiter white, I'd definitely go for them, because they shuffle nice, but it would be cool to make them less slippery too! hahaha These I feel come the closest to a perfect card...in my opinion.
Here are some pictures I attached below: PICTURES taken in same light condition using a cell phone, so the quality isn't the best, and reversed the cards to both cards on both sides. You can tell the BP shine more, glossier.
