Another shot at online poker this year?
.....i guess the good news is maybe the maroons in washington are thinking about it more....i think they are attempting to make it a stand alone bill without any of the typical horseshiiit that gets tacked on or something completely different gets slipped in at the last moment as extortion for a few more votes, and will affect online poker only....not all online betting....we will see..fingers crossed???  (sorry if this was posted before somewhere)

That works until you try to cash out and they ask for proof of your identity which usually consists of a photo ID (e.g passport or drivers license) and utility/credit card bills. How are you going to explain the US passport?

Cash out? the trick is to be a losing player, then you not only avoid this problem, but the cash out curse that inevitably follows.

Not a problem when you have a friend whom is a resident of Canada, you simply transfer to him, he cashes out for you.
I never said it wasnt a PITA but very easily done if you want to do it.

here is a thought...offer vacation package at a Canadian hotels that include an established online poker account at any site you need, cash outs sent to hotel address, balance forwarded to you back in the grand old behind the the eight ball USA....ahhh those vacation photos are full of memories

Who asks for this anyway? I've cashed out from numerous sites and never had to send them any ID.

They typically ask for it once, usually the first time you cash out so you may not remember.
