We have a lot of requests from members who want to do chip and product reviews. We want to make this a special forum, and we will do detailed and objective reviews only. Don't offer to do a review on your favorite chip just because you want to tell world about it.

A reviewer needs not only to be objective, but also well informed. If you are a "Chip Junkie" like me, you have a ton of samples, and you can tell the nuances that makes each chip unique. If you feel you would like to do a review for Chip Talk, and you feel that you qualify, please read on!

Items Needing Review

We are taking reviews for nearly all chips/related gear right now. Please look through our existing reviews.
If you don't see the product you would like to review, PM tripod22 to verify that a review isn't already in progress.

How to Write a Review

Articles and reviews are submitted in draft form. Once your draft has been approved, it will be posted in the Review Drafting forum and you will be granted access to that forum. There, admins, mods, and previous review authors will consult with you on your review and help you through the editorial process.

We use a review template so that we can keep all reviews consistent. If you would like to submit a review, click on the link below, then follow the instructions to submit a draft.

Again, be sure to check with tripod22 first, just in case a similar review is already in the works.

We won't turn away "text drafts!" If you need help with the formatting, we can all help fix it once you submit your draft. Just submit the draft to tripod22 and he'll take it from there!

NOTE: When writing/editing a review, we recommend using the standard editor. The WYSIWYG just seems to screw things up and all the codes get scrambled. With the standard editor, you can see the codes. This makes it easier to edit, and produces a cleaner document.

• USER CP --> EDIT OPTIONS --> at the bottom MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS
• Change the WYSIWYG to Standard in the drop down and save.

Upon completion of your review, it will be published here and you will be awarded chiptalk chips.
