There's elastic cords sewn into the ends of the material. They tighten up at the ends of the table and through the middle when you're covering the table. It's actually very tight once it's properly adjusted.

I can read between the lines - you are saying I am an inadequate adjuster. Either that or I am inadequately adjusted.
