Chips: 2,046 | | | hand held hold'em talking electric game Has anyone here bought the Texas hold'em game from sharperimage.com if so i would like to know if in your opinion if it is worth the 39.95 it cost. this game sounds very interesting can compete solo against 190 tournament players or just skip them all and advance to final table against 9 computer players. this talking electronic game features an interactive dealer who lets you know when there`s a raise, a re-raise or when the table is capped. has three tournament modes, no limit with 21 levels, limit with 12 levels, or pot limit with 23 levels, sounds like a great practice game while traveling from place to place. if you have another type of game you play and like, let`s hear about it, others may be interested, just keep it poker related please. |

| Next time, you can just post the link to the product like this: http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/ca...html?sku=MS050 You save paraphrasing and typing time, and we can just click the link for the info, the pictures and what-not. Quote: |

| I think it would be safe to say that this would be of very limited value for practicing against real players--even the most sophisticated computer programs have a tough time simulating human poker opponents. If you have a notebook PC, I would recommend getting one of the following as a compromise between portability and realistic play: But for its size and portability, I suppose the game you found is good for a little quick fun--just don't count on being able to sharpen your tournament skills very much. |

Chips: 186 | | | For practice or simulation purposes I use Wilson Software's Turbo Texas Hold Em for Windows--bar none the best poker simulator available. Before that I used Poker Academy, a darn fine program as well. |

Chips: 92 | | | But those two are still not equal to real live poker with money. I also find play money online not close to real money play either. |

Wilson Software calls their product "Tournament Texas Hold'em"
This product is called "Tournament Texas Hold'em Poker"
if the software is indeed created by Wilson, it would probably help you practice. I suspect they just added "poker" to the name so as not to violate copyright.
