jumbo vs. standard cup holders...

what's the difference? i can't seem to find a site that gives their dimensions. i'm going with the slide under kind for my new table. i should only need to hold 12 oz cans and regular beer bottles. which should i get? i'd like to hear from you if you've had either of these and which you'd recommend. thanks.

Link,
I have both.
For beer and soda cans, the small one is fine. I had to get some cheap plastic cups to fit in the small one though. I'll measure them when I get home tonight. Latas,
Greg

Ditto, 12 oz cans and bottles will fit in the small ones well. They're designed for that.

But, if you have some wiseguy like me who shows up with a 24 oz. can of Miller Lite, you may want a few big ones as well. I have 4 and 4.

Re: jumbo vs. standard cup holders...

I went out to the garage with my digital camera and a tape measure to take pictures of each of them for you which I have in some drink carts.

So I have these picks now, but I find that my SD card reader on my laptop isn't working... nor can I find my USB SD card reader... or the cradle for my camera.....

So... the jumbo are "this" big..... and the regulars are about "that" big.
Hope that helps!

Jumbo are usually about 3.5 to 3.75" wide and regulars are about 2.75" wide.

Re: jumbo vs. standard cup holders...

The regular size ones are great. The one thing that I find does not fit that a lot of people will drink from are the plastic soda bottles you pick up at the gas station on the way to the game.

For those that may drink wine, a wine glass sits better in a jumbo size holder.

I have a few of each sitting around. I would be happy to send you one of each for you to look at and compare in hand if you would like. I will pay for shipping to you, so long as you pay for shipping back to me. Sound like a good deal?

Re: jumbo vs. standard cup holders...

man, i love this place. thanks for all the speedy replies. i especially like the advice to get some of additional jumbos for the reasons stated.

guma, thanks for the offer! that's quite nice of you. but i think if i order 8 regular size and 4 jumbo size (just in case ) i'll be all set.

you guys rock. thanks again!

Re: jumbo vs. standard cup holders...

I just got mine a few weeks ago (8 reg and 4 jumbo, btw), and you definitely want both sizes. A 2:1 ratio is just about right, at least for my crowd. 0.5 L water bottles also fit in the small ones.
