Here's an auction for an amazing vintage Sterling Silver one with a buy-it-now of $1475 - yikes. VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER PLAYING CARD CASE CHESTER N&H - eBay (item 320144501073 end time Feb-01-08 04:38:19 PST)
My favorite so far, a one-of-a-kind sterling silver case with a Mozambique red garnet tab that is used to open the hinged lid. Wow. $1600. Playing Card Box

but the queen victorian one looks good.see the thing is, 1600 is alot for a case, but things like that dont lose value(unless broken), and thats what im interested in. maybe later ill be interested in those kind of cases. but for now, i just want a nice gold or sterling case, with laser print of the company that made it's name on it. because value will go down if i right my name or a name on it, so if the company that made it put their name on it, it will still be worth something. i could keep it plain, but ill just put a picture of some suits and the company's name.
as for the other one, its nice, but it mean,i have to get a box to fit it so the cards dont slide off. something that holds one deck, keeps it shut and is a tight fit for the cards, like it covers the cards perfectly. kinda like a cigarette case.
thanks for the post jamby
