My Basemnt/Poker Room

Here are some photos of my basement. It is one big open area that I transformed into a game room. There are 3 26" LCDs tied to a distro unit below the 50" Plasma in "lounge". HD feed are sent out from the cable box (or DVD or Blu-Ray player) to each TV. Also from the desk there is cable wired to the TV by the Poker table and by the pool table (barely see it in picture 6) for the TM software. Second poker table sits in front of the Pool table (enough room to still shoot pool) and a third can set on the far side of the pool table (by moving the pub tables) Speakers in the ceiling connected to the stereo getting XM or iTunes feeds by the wireless network (AirPort or Airfoil). Planning on building out an unfinished room that is not seen, 19 X 15 room with a bar, a pinball game, shuffleboard, and retrofitted jukebox hopefully in 09

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing! That's a nice area you have.

Re: My Basemnt/Poker Room

Quite a setup you have there. Good job on the "man cave"! What is that giant hackeysack in the middle of the poker room? Looks kinda like a beanbag chair with too much stuffing. Looks like you'd fall off if you hopped on

It's called a Love Sac, and no it is not a sex toy as one of my neighbors asked. It's a Bean Bag with foam instead of the beans, as it gets used it shrinks but roll it around and it regains its shape. I need to move it up to my son's room but it won't fit up the stairs.

Damn, I thought it was the bag where you kept your bankroll!

Very nice room!

The wife and I have discussed it as more of a joke, then we realized it would get some use during the neighborhood parties and we didn't want that (plus I have a 15yo son and it's not a path I want to go down). I am already in trouble with most of the wifes in the neighborhood due to the basement, either the husbands want a basement like mine, play poker every other weekend, or shoot pool and drink until 2am on weekends (in some cases all 3) so a stripper pole and it's use would probably get half the guys banned or divorced.

Re: My Basemnt/Poker Room

Man now thats a game room.

It's like your sanctuary I bet. Or if you're Superman, it's your fortress of solitude.
