It was only available for a couple days (maybe less), supposedly. No one made it in time.

Correct. I had a limited amount of time to find someone and couldn't locate a Chicago CT'er in time. The latest update is here:

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/702180-post47.html

To be clear, I'm in no way connected to the company making this shuffler. I just happened to strike up a relationship through email with one of the founders. They've been very supportive in answering questions so far.

As for ProShuffler.com, their website has been down for a while. They're local in San Diego and I actually played poker recently with one of the founders, but I haven't heard anything as far as an update for a while.

A friend of mine mailed yesterday and he said it would be ready in two weeks time (!) so I guess we have to wait and see.

RE: Update from Shuffle Tech
Dear Early Bird,

Due to our rigorous Quality Assurance process, we have delayed initial shipments of the machine until late April.

We regret having to delay launch by two months, but we feel that our factories need the additional time to ensure quality mass-production. We appreciate your patience and assure you that the improvements in reliability resulting from improving our supplier base are well worth the extra time.

Also, regarding the flush mount kit, we’d like to clarify two frequently asked questions. First, when the machine is flush mounted, there is a switch at the bottom of the machine that can be switched to flush mount mode, which causes the cards to eject from the top door rather than the presentation tray underneath the table. Secondly, we’ve redesigned the face plate so that it’s now matte black and much smaller than the original plate featured on our website. The installation manual and the template will be posted on our website in the near future.

We will be back in touch with you in the near future to provide individual Coupon Codes that each early-bird can use to receive their discount on your initial order.

We will be in touch with you soon.

Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,

Hiro Toyama

I have pre-ordered one, too, and nearly can't stand waiting any longer.

It's still more like 6 weeks, I am afraid (late April)

Re: Automatic Shuffler for Homegames to Hit Market in 2008

Hey all. I have ben quiet in here, but have been actively watching this thread with some interest. When viewing their website, I saw that they are based in Chicagoland (which is where I am) and I called them up to see if they had a prototype for me to test and report on.

When I called, I spoke with the designer of this (Hiro) and he said that he has the original prototype in his office right now. He informed me that from testing the prototype, they were able to locate a few kinks that needed to be worked out. As a result, he would rather have me wait until his shipment arrives in about two weeks as this one will be much better than the prototype. At that point he stated that he would be happy to give me a chance to come in and test out the final Shuffletech unit for the purpose of providing feedback here (and HPT).
I am out of town through 3/21-3/30 so I am hoping I can get in there the week of 3/31-4/4.

What I can say through my conversation with him is that he is very concious of producing and releasing quality product which I think is a very good sign. It sounds like his first shipment due to arrive in about two weeks will be enough to supply preorders plus some extras, and then he will be going to China for a few weeks once those are shipped to personally oversee the mass production.

I will be sure to report here once I get my hands on the unit in his office.
