It definitely looks akward. The $500 price tag is actually not bad for a shuffler like that. Shuffle masters are around $2000 OR MORE and only can be bought by casinos (there are some at 5 stard deal right now too)

The ones on 5star look even worse. I watched a video of one of those on ebay, and it was like watching paint dry. It took forever to shuffle a single deck. And it looks even bigger than the one in the OP.

Generally if used for poker, one deck is being shuffled while another deck is used for the current hand. So if it takes a while, that's alright since the other deck is being used.

My Chips:
820 BCC Hotstamped (Semi-Custom, and first real clay chip set designed for 32 Player Tournaments)
800 Chipco Crystal Oyster's (Cash Game)
5400 Faux Clay's (Any Game)
1000 Dunes Replicas (High Stakes Tournament)
In my home games I usually deal if I'm out first. I have a system of 15-20 seconds to get the cards out. I could use this item and I would be sold on it more if:
- They showed an actual shuffler instead of a computer model.
- Had Video of this product in action.
- Have a size comparison to a game table.
- lowered the price even more to at least $300 (home market keep in mind)
I think I would shell out some cash for a decent item that works great. I mean when the poker genie first came out, we all thought man $70 for a timer. Now look at all the people who own one.
They say on their website that there are going to release an in-table model before the wsop 2008......!!!
If it does what they say it suppose to do, this might be a need product....! Even at $500, maybe splitting it among your regular home league players to ease the cost...!

Mostly because you can get them for $45-$50 now. I like the genie a lot but $70 was a pretty high price (I know its only $20 but it was still a bit high)
That being said - an in table version that was affordable would do really well IMHO
