Chips: 349 | | | Pocket chip scale From reading posts and even being live at the table there are times when people are comparing one chip to another or guessing appox. how much a chip weighs. Unless you have a lot of experience you will never be able to guess how much a chip weighs without a scale. So, I did some searching and decided to buy one. It really isn't a "chip" scale, but it should work very well in weighing any chip. Only question is how accurate is it? Yeah it goes to the 100th of a gram and can be calibrated, but it's only as accurate as the calibration weight and to the scales spec. In any case, being a pocket scale it should be easy to take anywhere you go. I paid $30 after shipping from Ebay.

What's the manufacturer and model of the scale?

Chips: 349 | | | Re: Pocket chip scale I'ts a Jennings HP-50x and is a jewerly scale. Search for it on the web or at Ebay. There are a ton of them out there, but I chose this one for several reasons. A .01 gram resolution, the cover protects the scale and display that lights up, the angle in which it opens up, the size of the weighing platform and the cost. You can spend less if you look.
This will compliment my digital caliper for use when I check samples or any other chip.
If after I get it and it's worthy, I will do a review. |

There are many scales and I thought this would be really good for weighing one chip. |
