I was just wondering what video poker games people have bought and liked. I bought the World Series of Poker game for my X-Box and it is pretty bad, players must celebrate after evry hand and the dialog s inane. I was just given the World Poker Tour game too but I haven't opened it incase I want to exchange it. I know Howard and Daniel both have games comming out too. I just really don't want to spend a couple of hundred bucks for Wilson's software. I would love to hear any reviews of other software out there for PC or X-Box. Thanks
I don't understand why anyone would buy these games unless you have no friends or internet access.
I couldn't spend my time playing a poker game that will not reward me if i win.
I think you can bet real money with Daniel's game.
Impossible. There's NO way they could sell this if it gave you the opportunity to play for real money. I'm sure you could play online against many others, but still for play.
Poker Academy 2.0 is the way to go. It is a tool more than a game. If that's what your looking for. The basic version also has online capabilities. I do hear that Stacked is going to use the bot engines from Poker Academy and from what I've read so far it will be the game to get. I agree the WSOP sucks, big time.

PA is good. Wilson Software's Turbo series is good as well. I think that PA has some of the more "glitzy" videp game features (a better interfeace) but the turbo series seems to have more game improvement tools. Wilson has also updated their software this year - so the UI has improved.
No Limit Texas Hold 'Em: Tournament Edition 2006
This is a nice game for PC. Also has a handy poker clock feature. Available at Target and Amazon. Lots of features that you can set to simulate the kind of play to practice against. Cost about $20.
